Nuclear Engineer Visit
On Tuesday, April 17, Rockbrook parents, Tim Leibel and Toni DiBlasi-Leibel, volunteered their time to engage Rockbrook and Westbrook EY students in learning about some intersting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts.  The STEM curriculum has become an important focus in exposing today's students to future career possibilities.  Nuclear engineer, Tim Leibel taught the students how to code and decode binary numbers and then transmit binary numbers using a simple multiplexer circuit.  The students learned how to read circuit diagrams and build circuits, how to read blueprints, and much more.  The Westbrook and Rockbrook EY students will continue to use this information as a springboard for continued study of other STEM concepts.
