100 Days of School
Can you believe we have already had 100 days of school? Students sang, chanted, counted, sorted....everything 100!
Happy Chinese New Year!
The dragon head led the dragon from Mr. Carlson's class around the school. First graders in Mrs. Raphael's class made parade wands to wave as they enjoyed the parade. They made loud noises to scare away the bad and welcome the new for Chinese New Year: The Year of the Dragon.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Activites
Fourth and First Grade Buddies got together to make a chain of kindness and respect. They read books together about Martin Luther King, Jr. Partners placed matching puff balls on the Peace Dove.
Rosa Parks
In connection with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Mrs. Schuppan's kindergartners at Prairie Lane performed a reinactment of Rosa Park's bus incident in which she was arrested because she refused to give up her seat for a white person. Mrs. Belt's and Mr. Carlson' kindergartners enjoyed this reinactment through the use of Skype!
