Mission and Description
Welcome to Rockbrook Elementary School. We are part of Westside Community Schools in Omaha, Nebraska. We have about 300 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. We have two classrooms of each grade level with approximately 20 students in each class. The cohesive nature of the community gives life to Rockbrook Elementary School’s vision of a collaborative team that addresses the needs of all learners. Citizenship and character education are integral parts of the school’s culture. Through our Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) program, students are recognized for making safe, respectful, and responsible choices both in their classroom and through school-wide Power Paw Assemblies.
An active Community Club sponsors speakers and events that enhance classroom activities. Area business partners support Rockbrook’s focus on learning. Parents report that the academic strengths of Rockbrook are a result of a dedicated staff, individual attention, and availability of advanced programs. Grade 3 and 5 students take the Stanford Achievement Test. For current and complete demographic information about Rockbrook, please visit the state of Nebraska’s Department of Education website.
The mission of Rockbrook School, a diverse community of learners, is to foster learning by providing a quality educational experience within a secure and challenging environment.
